Haldane Martin’s Galapagos: A Sculptural Outdoor Kitchen for Luxurious Alfresco Living
Designed by renowned South African designer Haldane Martin, the Galapagos kitchen island redefines the outdoor kitchen – bringing together functionality, durability, and sculptural elegance in one seamless form. It’s not just a kitchen island; it’s a sophisticated stage for connection, creativity, and culinary performance.
Crafted for luxury alfresco living, Galapagos transforms meal preparation into a social experience. At its heart is a 20mm Dekton® slab by Cosentino – an ultra-compact surface celebrated for its resilience against heat, scratches, and UV exposure, making it ideal for the outdoors. Matching table tops extend the workspace while preserving a refined, cohesive aesthetic.
The island’s frame combines aluminium, stainless steel and marine-grade stainless steel, each powder-coated in a UV-stable pure polyester with a textured ferro grain finish, available in an expansive colour palette to tailor the look to any space – whether beachfront, rooftop, or garden.
Designed with modularity and precision, Galapagos integrates seamlessly with cooking appliances, delivering performance without compromising style.
With Galapagos, Haldane Martin once again elevates the every day – creating a bold, enduring centrepiece for those who entertain with intention and live without limits.
