In one of the most beautiful villages in Italy, a 14th-century rectory has become a design-driven holiday home.

A contemporary holiday home

the new Lago Welcome Asolo @ Centorizzonti Suites and Apartments is located in the medieval quarter, next to the historical church of Santa Caterina, built in the mid-14th century. It is situated on the northern slope of Asolo, one of the most beautiful villages in Italy. Here, an evocative setting preserves traces of its interior links between the church, sacristy and rectory. However, it is given a new life as a charming, contemporary holiday apartment.

The aim of the interior project was to bring back to life the history and tradition of the structure. This was achieved through design-driven furnishings and contemporary materials in a practical space that can accommodate up to six guests. Furthermore, each of the building’s three levels was assigned a specific function.

Furthermore, the building looks onto a medieval square. Its three stories are subsequently connected by a system of open stairs. These unite the tradition of cast iron and white marble with contemporary materials like raw steel, concrete and wood.

Elegant and inviting

The first space you encounter at the new Lago Welcome is the living room. It subsequently features a restored working stone fireplace, a small, comfortable Air sofa and Air shelving suspended on strong sheets of tempered glass. Heading down the cast-iron spiral stairs, you enter the kitchen and dining area. Here a vaulted brick ceiling and a starry sky are painted on the walls. Next, you can access the large garden, where you can enjoy a magnificent view of the Asolo hills.

The exposed concrete floor subsequently combines with the masterful restoration of the original plasterwork and 36e8 island kitchen. Furthemore, this space is complete with a Wildwood Air table that enhances the exceptional essentialness of the place.

Finally, on the first floor, which is accessed via an interior marble stair, you will find a large suite with two comfortable Air beds. In addition, you’ll find an elegant private bathroom with a Skin washbasin. The space is subsequently defined by a stunning perforated volume, inspired by the textures of the grates on old confessionals.
