A New Design Destination in Milan: De Padova Inaugurates Via Manzoni 17
The Quadrilatero della Moda district in Milan welcomes the latest Boffi|DePadova showroom, the group’s third in the Lombard capital. Via Manzoni 17 speaks the same versatile and visionary language that has made De Padova and its designs a signature trademark for sophisticated style in the world of contemporary furniture.
A stone’s throw from Via Montenapoleone, the building stands in the heart of Milan, the cradle of culture, fashion and art. It features spacious windows and a graphic design that elegantly announces the presence of De Padova at a site overlooking Via Manzoni and Vicolo Giardino, offering a glimpse of the coming together of materials and design curated by the creative team at Boffi|DePadova.
The De Padova Manzoni showroom
The De Padova Manzoni showroom will be inaugurated during Milan Design Week 2023.
A mirrored wall announces a space measuring 400 m² that is distributed over two floors. Modernist, essential references have been selected in addition to the eclectic aesthetics of the collections created by Italian and international design masters. The common thread is the red De Padova hue that leads from the ground floor to the first level, the latter area interspersed with architectural elements that host the collections in well-defined environments.
The windows let in natural light and immediately convey the feeling of an expansive space that serves as a stage for timeless icons which are now flanked by new products: the Paul Smith + De Padova EVERYDAY LIFE collection with the integration of poufs and modular sofa; the soft lines of the Honoré collection by Elisa Ossino; the measured elegance of the Japanese craftsmanship of Time & Style ēdition; the studied re-proposals of models such as Carlo and Raffles.
These are some of the synergistic elements that coexist in a setting defined by a formal coherence that one expects to see from spaces carrying the Boffi|DePadova name. The design emphasises an elegant style, which is translated into flexible systems and elements presented in the De Padova Manzoni space by way of a refined styling and careful attention to detail.
A growing brand
“De Padova Manzoni joins Boffi Solferino and De Padova Santa Cecilia to introduce the De Padova brand in a centrally located venue in the city where the Milanese and discerning travellers congregate. The aim is to give the brand added visibility to allow it to grow on an international scale,” explains Roberto Gavazzi, CEO of Boffi|DePadova.
“Eight years after opening the brand’s flagship in Via Santa Cecilia in a noteworthy venue that was deliberately chosen for its secluded location to permit people to be surprised by its spaces, De Padova proudly comes out into the open. Between Piazza della Scala and Via Montenapoleone, one will be greeted by a store with a prominent display of sophisticated and elegant furnishings that are dedicated to enthusiasts of timeless design and which reflects the same spirit Maddalena De Padova always believed in. Our wish is to replicate this model in our most important international markets.”
The Boffi|DePadova offering is a coordinated combination of furnishing elements and systems. The spaces interact in a scenographic exchange. This is thanks to the integration of different architectural solutions from the collection of openings and closures by ADL, the most recent acquisition of the group in the world of doors and partitions.
The Boffi|DePadova project, which began in 2015, is developing into an example of refined creativity in residential living both in Italy and abroad.
