Cattelan Italia | Tonic and Altavista
Two New Concepts for Contemporary Summer Living: Tonic and Altavista are Here to Transform your Space.
Seasonality changes the rhythm of our days—and with it, the way we inhabit our living spaces. As the long-awaited summer break approaches, the domestic space also opens to slower rituals, moments of relaxation, and conviviality. This mood inspired two new products designed by Cattelan Italia, created to accompany everyday life in the brightest season of the year: the Tonic trolley bar cart and the Altavista TV unit. Tonic, whose name recalls the lively break of a summer aperitif, features an elegant slender structure that spreads over three staggered levels. Ceramic, wood, and metallic finishes alternate, adding visual dynamism to this versatile piece, both in use and appearance.
Wheels hidden behind a metallic band that wraps all the shelves make the trolley bar easy to move. Perfect for an aperitif at home—on a warm evening with friends or alone to enjoy a well-deserved moment of relax —Tonic captures the spirit of summer rituals.
Altavista is a low-height TV unit, characterized by a base in Canaletto walnut or burned oak, clear glass sides, and a top surface in Canaletto walnut. Available in Canaletto walnut with details in burned oak or burned oak with details in Canaletto walnut, the central section features a high-gloss lacquered storage compartment supported by slim metal legs. Playing with transparency, it allows light and order to define the ambiance of the room. Ideal for supporting a large TV screen – leaning or hanging on the wall, Altavista lives up to its name by offering a clear, elevated perspective on the living area. A contemporary organizer which reflects the personality and habits of those who inhabit the space daily.
Perfect companions for enjoying a movie during the hottest hours or on a quiet evening at home, the Altavista TV cabinet and the Tonic trolley bar invite us to rethink the way we experience our domestic space in summer: no longer just as a strategic refuge from the heat, but as a place to be lived in fully and consciously. The desire to stay at home— not only to stay cool, but also to enjoy a tidy and functional space—finds expression in these new furnishings, designed to follow the slower summer rhythms without overlapping. Tonic introduces the idea of movement and tactile richness, while Altavista explores transparency and versatility, leaving space for togetherness and the simple pleasure of shared time.
