Sunny Spot started as a creative passion project between a daughter and her mom with the first products being ultra-comfy loungers. Today, founders Emma and Robyn have expanded their range with chic, weather-resistant furniture that turns any outdoor space into a stylish, flexible retreat perfect for year-round enjoyment.

Where did Sunny Spot begin and what has your journey in the industry been like so far?

Sunny Spot started as a creative project during the Covid lockdown. Emma Stam, assisted by her Mom, Robyn, began experimenting with designs and fabrics for our flagship product, super-comfortable and beautiful outdoor loungers. We have since added beanbags, outdoor umbrellas and our sleek and modern Bubble collection to our range of offerings. We love being in the interior industry and helping people to beautify their living spaces.

Tell us more about your outdoor range and the flexibility of your furniture?

At Sunny Spot, our furniture range is designed with a balance of durability, style, and flexibility in mind. All our items are fully weather-resistant and crafted to withstand the elements, making them perfect for outdoor use year-round. Whether you’re furnishing a patio, garden, or poolside, we have something to suit your space. Our range includes loungers, our super-modern Bubble collection and a range of umbrellas in various sizes, which can be easily rearranged to suit different spaces or occasions.

Pieces can be easily moved around or combined, making it simple to create new layouts for different events or gatherings. This adaptability ensures that our outdoor furniture can fit into both large and small spaces, giving you the freedom to design your ideal outdoor setting.

What are your top 3 style tips for Summer?

Choose light and airy colour and neutral tones, like beige, grey and soft pastels. These colours not only reflect sunlight, keeping your space cooler, but also create an inviting fresh atmosphere.
Summer outdoor living is all about relaxation, so make sure your space is as comfortable as it is stylish. Our plush, weather-resistant loungers create a lounge-like feel. Add some outdoor cushions or throws to add splashes of colour and texture.

Our top-selling products are our striped outdoor loungers (both single and double), followed by our fringed patio umbrellas, which are manufactured from locally sourced Karri wood. Our Bubble Chairs, made from marine-grade fibreglass, are also a firm favourite.
