Plaisir du Jardin: The Colours of Autumn
Autumn is here and the best things about the season are the colours and variety on offer. How can you get bored with such a wide range of colours to choose from. From browns, coppers, oranges, reds, yellows, greens, pinks, purples and blues. The colours of the rainbow in warm tones.
Jason Brunt, Ph.D., an assistant professor of psychology at Biola University in California says the following about autumn’s magnificent colours: “Heavy visual contrast, saturation, and brightness are perceived as pleasantly exciting, and all of those properties characterize peak autumn season,”
Brunt says.
“There is also a striking temporal contrast. You get green, green, green from spring through summer, and then—bang! You see the first leaf fall, and within a couple of weeks, the trees are ablaze with colour.”
Such change affects our brains positively and is a great stress reliever as it is an exercise in mindfulness.
Fermob brings you autumn colours in abundance and they are exclusively available from Plaisir du Jardin. French bistro chairs, side tables, the Luxembourg low chair, Balad lamps, planter boxes and iconic Bistro sets.
Embrace the colours of Autumn and shop the latest hues at Plaisir du Jardin.
