Nardi Outdoor: Sustainability & Responsible Living

When it comes to the development of outdoor furniture at Nardi, sustainability and an eco-friendly approach are vital. Every item is carefully considered and the entire production chain is significantly geared towards sustainability.

100% recyclable

Polypropylene is pure, and is not contaminated by other materials. Thanks to this particular feature, it can be separated by colour and reprocessed during the recovery stage, making Nardi products completely recyclable.

1 – Energy

Part of the electricity used to power Nardi plants is sourced from solar. Their latest production plant respects the highest environmental standards.

2 – The Environment

The water used is not contaminated. The company do not emit polluting gases or smoke into the atmosphere.

3 – Waste

All plastic production waste is reintroduced into the production cycle.

4 – Packaging

The cardboard boxes used for packaging contain more than 75% recycled fibres.

Sustainable Development

Nardi has always focused on sustainable development, which is why it has launched a series of studies to assess the environmental impact of its products (LCA – Life Cycle Assessment).

LCA – What is it?

Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) methodology aims to evaluate the environmental performance of the various stages in the life cycle of products. For Nardi, it involves commitment to the environment.

Nardi aims to provide high-quality, safe products with low environmental impact. The LCA is applied in order to identify the critical aspects of a product life cycle and to make improvements aimed at achieving a reduction in raw materials and waste while improving energy efficiency and the recyclability of materials.

The study was carried out on the following products:

Komodo Eco Wall

This is an outdoor modular partition in regenerated resin obtained from the recycled polypropylene furniture. The modules can subsequently be freely combined vertically or horizontally to complement the look of the environment and create privacy.

Komodo 5

Inspired by tree branches, Komodo 5 is a modular system of upholstered seats in fibreglass resin for outdoor use, offering great composition flexibility. It can be configured as desired depending on space, taste and needs.

Sipario

Sipario is a modular partition wall system for outdoor use made of regenerated plastic with a self-watering planter. Furthermore, it features an asymmetrical mesh design. The modules allow you to create linear, split and curved layouts.
