Ikira: Perfection
Tailored to Perfection. Proudly South African.
With a vast and impressive portfolio, there’s no denying that Ikira is at the top of their game.
Designers and manufacturers of premium outdoor soft furnishings, the company has produced impeccably crafted items for corporate, commercial, residential and hospitality projects as far afield as Miami, Sydney and Seychelles.
Under the guidance of founder Kari Duveen, Ikira provides a bespoke manufacturing service encompassing design, site visits, material selection and procurement, pattern design and prototypes, delivery and installation.
Products include outdoor cushions, scatter cushions and beanbags made with quality materials, including Neospand – a UV-stable, waterproof, and anti-microbial lining exclusively available at Ikira.
“We specify the highest performance textile ranges from the major fabric houses, mills or local agencies; and offer sound advice on the best fabric compositions and coatings, ensuring that your cushions are durable and lasting. In addition, offering a full CMT service, should you prefer to supply your own fabric,” says Duveen.
“Our premium quality foam and padding in our cushions, with the optimal combination of layers, achieves the desired level and longevity required for the intended application and environment.
Meticulous focus on all aspects of each custom-made design – from seam construction to pattern matching, is what sets our soft furnishings apart.”
Known for their quality exterior furnishings, it is no surprise that Ikira has been collaborating with some of South Africa’s top designers and architects, including Haldane Martina and ARRCC to create some of the most beautiful outdoor spaces both locally and abroad.
Most recently, the team finished projects at the multi-award-winning Cheetah Plains Luxury Safari Houses in South Africa and a luxury resort in Seychelles, as well as residential projects in Cape Town and Ibiza.
