Introducing Premium Traviata Flooring Products
With flooring as with life it is often what you don’t see that makes the difference! With this in mind Traviata Flooring has introduced a new, premium quality, underlay. Originally designed to be used with the top of the range Tru-Wood laminate flooring , the new “Travilay Silent” offers an enhanced experience of quiet comfort.
Traviata’s 12mm AC5 Tru-Wood range of laminates is pitched directly against engineered and solid wood floors. The structure and design of its EIR surface makes it almost impossible to distinguish Tru-Wood from natural Oak and the large size plank and four sided edge bevel add to the authentic look. It was important then to have a suitable underlay that completed the picture by providing a finished floor that felt and sounded like solid timber too.
The 2mm EVA foam underlay has a 0,08mm PE moisture barrier pre-attached. Travilay Silent has a significantly higher density than the old Rubberlay type underlay offered by Traviata. This allows the new underlay to give improved acoustic performance. Having STC and IIC values of 62 and 63 respectively helps reduce the amount of in room drum noise as well as reducing the floor to floor noise transfer in multi story buildings.
Travilay Silent underlay also offers significant benefits when used in conjunction with any of the standard 8mm AC3 and AC4 ranges. As well as being recyclable, Travilay Silent is waterproof and is resilient to the alkalis and sulphates which can leach out of cement surface beds and screeds.
With a thermal conductivity of only 0,041W/(m0K) the new underlay assists with the energy saving thermal performance of the Laminate / underlay combination. Supplied in 20m2 rolls the Travilay silent features a pre attached adhesive strip for ease of installation.
