Meet the team behind Continua – a South African design and manufacturing company of surface.
A testament to the power of evolution and rebranding, Continua’s journey began when Serkan and Karen Guvenilir took over Natural Stone Warehouse in 2015.
Starting with an empty showroom, no stock and a small team, they didn’t have a clear vision but their determination to be different in the Cape Town design market set them on a unique path.
Over four years, they experimented with new products and grew from offering natural stone tiles to a variety of materials including porcelain tiles, large format sintered stone slabs, vinyl and oak flooring.
During this period, they also expanded their team to include interior designers who offer services ranging from space planning to custom furniture design.
In 2018, the company faced a turning point. A name change and rebranding became necessary to mark the next step. The new name, Continua, directly translates to ‘keep moving,’ signifying their unwavering commitment to progress and resilience.
Today, the company’s offerings have expanded to include not only a wide range of surface materials but also services such as waterjet cutting, edge polishing, fabrication and installation.
Continua’s journey reflects its ethos of resilience, innovation and forward momentum. Whether you’re an architect, interior designer or homeowner, their wide range of materials and design services can help you achieve your vision.
Continua is proud to be part of The Excellence Group, which is made up of multiple award-winning interior design, manufacturing and installation companies.
