Tile House: Bring On Bright & Bold Colour
There is no better way to bring colour and fresh energy into your space, than with splashes of coloured tiles!
It is most refreshing to see colour re-emerging in fashion, interiors and food again! Think of a neutral palette, with a bold dose of popping colour! Smaller tiles are a great material to create detailed and colourful focal areas.
Gone are the days of traditional, understated small tiles. We now see many shapes and sizes, rich colours and a fresh take on small tiles! There are so many different arrangements that one can do, so to help out, we have narrowed them down for you…
First, you have the classic subway or metro tile, previously laid in a horizontal pattern. These were found deep underground on subway walls and floors. The new look is to lay these tiles vertically, in kitchens bathrooms and feature walls! Revolutionary! The vertical subway tiles create a rhythm of tiles across your walls.
Secondly, the classic white square tile has taken on a new life. It is now available in so many different colours! Rather than paint your wall an accent colour, tile it! Even better, combine it with a coloured grout for a contrasting effect.
Third, are the triangle shaped tiles which are like small pieces of eye candy adorning your walls! The benefit of these tiles is that they are sold individually, so you can mix and match all sorts of colours.
