Batik by Douglas Jones: Ceramic Pool Mosaic
Swimming pools are a key feature of many outdoor spaces, and the mosaic you choose has a significant impact on both the appearance of the pool and how well it performs over time.
Batik by Douglas Jones is a ceramic pool mosaic designed for pool applications, combining durability with a distinctive, decorative finish.
The range is available in six colours, giving designers and homeowners the opportunity to create very different looks. From cooler blue tones that enhance the appearance of the water to softer, more natural shades, Batik can complement a wide variety of architectural and landscaping styles.
The compact square format gives Batik a neat, structured appearance, while the individual pieces add texture and subtle variation across the surface. Once submerged, light and movement in the water enhance the colours and create changing tones and reflections throughout the day.
BEYOND THE POOL
Although Batik is specially formulated for permanent wet areas, its versatility extends well beyond pools and water features. It can also be used for standard wall and floor applications, making it a practical option for bathrooms, kitchens, feature walls and other interior spaces.
Its compact format and subtle variation work particularly well across larger surfaces, while the ceramic finish gives it the durability needed for everyday use. This allows the same range to flow from indoor areas into outdoor or pool spaces, creating a more cohesive design throughout a project.
That gives Batik an added advantage: it is not limited to one application. Designers can use the same mosaic across walls, floors and permanent wet areas while maintaining a consistent look and finish.
Each Batik piece measures 50x50mm and is supplied on a 300x300mm sheet, with approximately 11 sheets required per square metre.
For pools, water features and everyday wall and floor applications, Batik by Douglas Jones offers a durable and versatile ceramic pool mosaic designed to perform beautifully for years to come.
