Pantone colour of the year 2024
Warm, comforting and enriching, Pantone has just unveiled Peach Fuzz as its Color of the Year 2024.
“In seeking a hue that echoes our innate yearning for closeness and connection, we chose a colour radiant with warmth and modern elegance. A shade that resonates with compassion, offers a tactile embrace and effortlessly bridges the youthful with the timeless,” says Leitrice Eiseman, executive director of the Pantone Color Institute of the choice.
This, of course, makes the gentle peach tone the perfect colour to introduce into interiors in 2024 to create cheery yet cosy and comfortable spaces.
Ruggable, the original machine-washable rug, has already introduced its Ruggable x Pantone Collection. Inspiring well-being in the home, the collection features a set of three rugs, a doormat and a bath mat in Peach Fuzz.
Spoonflower, an artist collective, has also partnered with Pantone to bring the colour to life through wallpaper, fabric and home decor designs by artists Dani Dazey, Janine Lecour and Holli Zollinger.
Many other creatives, including textiles and apparel designer Tsia Carson and musician Bruce Anthony Marshall, who created the playlist for the Color of the Year 2024 celebration, are drawing inspiration from the nurturing hue, creating everything from home decor to furniture, lighting and accessories to celebrate the warm, fuzzy colour.
“When I think Peach Fuzz, I feel lightness, hope, and positive energy and a feeling reminiscent of a generational modern-day Woodstock. It’s a needed celebration of people coming together to uplift one another in a warm sense of celebration and community with a touch of whimsy,” Marshall says.
