St Leger & Viney: Anna French Unveils The Savoy Collection of Fabrics

Influenced by the modern elegance of the 1920’s, Savoy is a new exuberant collection of coordinating prints, wovens, and wallcoverings from Anna French. Now available locally through St Leger & Viney.

The Savoy Collection deftly combines the graphic geometry of Art Deco with exotic botanicals and organic elements such as winding garden paths and flowering bouquets.
The collection includes charming small-scale motifs of trees, scallops and fanning florals as well as dramatic geometrics and blooming Lotus and Iris florals in colorways inspired by the original document artwork.

Let’s take a closer look:

Cairo

As the name associates with the magnificent city, Cairo was inspired by ancient Egyptian decorative paintings of the Lotus flower which symbolizes the sun. The coordinating fabric is made in India–the scale is slightly smaller.

Petit Arbre

Petit Arbre means “small tree” in French. This charming little pattern captures the look of block print with tiny irregular shapes.

Aerial Garden

A bird’s-eye view is the most magnificent vantage point of an elaborately landscaped garden. This symmetrical maze-like design features crafty plantings, hedges, walkways and decorative architecture.

Cleo

Cleo is a reproduction of a mid 1920’s document of exotic, stylized, blooming florals. There are 7 stunning colourways of this printed fabric. Charcoal is the original document colourway which looks new and current with bright colours contrasting on a dark background.

Cleo Vine

The Lotus figure in the Cleo fabric design was isolated and enlarged to create this coordinating vining wallpaper.

Fairbanks

A reproduction of a 1926 fabric document named after the popular movie start of the 20’s,
Douglas Fairbanks. The pattern features a large-scale vase with an exuberant floral bouquet of Japanese influence. The green colourway is the original document colour.

Herriot Way Embroidery

This intricate curvy embroidery was named after a route in Northern England with winding paths through the picturesque countryside.

Herriot Way

A companion wallcovering of Herriot Way Embroidery, with the winding design printed on paperweave.

Seton Scallop

A modern version of a classic fanning scallop motif created with line work.

Ombre Velvet

100% cotton velvet stripe with a soft hand and an ombré colouring effect, evocative of corduroy fabric.

Ombré Stripe

An all-over stripe wallcovering in varying widths inspired by the design of the Ombré
Velvet fabric.

Cubism

Named after the revolutionary European art movement of Cubism in the early 20th century. The style emphasized simple geometric forms. The design is printed on 100% linen.

Pyramid

Pyramid features the small triangle shapes in the Cairo design printed on paperweave.

Riva

Riva features loose geometric metallic designs in colourways that coordinate throughout the Savoy collection. The design is printed on top of the coloured ground, and then the Type I Vinyl wallcovering is embossed to give added dimension.

Colburn Chevron

Chevrons are synonymous with Art Deco designs. This geometric wallcovering features a large scale abstract chevron pattern.

Gaya

Gaya is made of natural dyed raffia woven to create variegated tones for ultra-dimension.

Tipton

A multi-tone subtly-textured wallcovering that has the look of a woven textile.
