Custom printed textiles offer a uniqueness like no other, allowing you to create a space that is truly yours.

Deciding which room in your home you want to transform is an important starting point, as it will greatly affect the overall design and colour palette you choose. Enclosed spaces like bedrooms do not have as much impact as open living spaces that blend together.

This time of year, outdoor living areas are quite popular because this is where we spend a lot of our time entertaining friends and family.

Tropical colours are still very much in style, with leaves and monkeys bringing nature into your veranda space. Pairing colour palettes in your living area with your outdoor entertaining area is a great way to expand your living space, create a consistent flow, and ultimately give the feeling of a larger space.

How to get started designing your custom printed textiles

By starting with a mood board, you can create a visual story that will give you direction with colour palettes and designs for your soon-to-be rejuvenated space.

Once you’ve created your mood board, you can begin the concept phase. Start by choosing your design medium – either use a graphics programme like Adobe Illustrator to create a unique digital design, or take the more traditional approach and create a design with pens, watercolours, etc. These in turn can be scanned and converted into digital designs.

We advocate pursuing the digital method to develop multiple colourways of your design. This gives you the option to modify the colour of individual elements, backgrounds, scale up or down without losing information, and add/remove elements by creating your design in a vector format.

We’re particularly proud of our three in-house woven base cloths: one 190gsm with 40% rPET and two 260gsm with 100% rPET. Sustainability and local content are important components of our fabric. We love to support the local economy which is why we try to source local artists. We can send you samples so you can decide which one best suit your application and budget.

It’s now time to put your design into action. One of the best things about printing with us is that, thanks to our print-on-demand service, we’ll never run out of your prints. All our basic cloths are in stock, and we can print your designs as needed.

With a low minimum order of 50m rolls with a printable width of 140cm, your print run can be made up of a single or many designs as long as the total print run is 50m.

Once you are happy with your finished design, you can send your design file to us via WeTransfer. We will then set up the designs for printing based on your specific order requirements, and then send you a digital proof for final approval before we go to print.
