Contemporary style with a refreshing twist.
Known for its creative fabric and wallpaper designs with a contemporary elegance and artistic twist, the London-based Jane Churchill studio is a favourite among designers and homeowners looking for striking upholstery fabrics, curtaining and wallcoverings.
From neutrals to whimsical patterns, bold florals and geometric motifs, the company has a design to complement every decor scheme.
In line with current trends, the company recently unveiled Rivera under Colefax and Fowler – a range of decorative fabrics in sensory textures and bold colours with a distinct Art Deco influence.
“The dazzling Art Deco-inspired decoratives and abstract weaves are perfectly complemented by a selection of rich plains and textural wallcoverings that add detail and interest,” says the company of the collection which consists of beautiful upholstery and curtaining fabric, as well as vinyl wallcoverings with an antiqued linen look for textural interest.
Among the decorative prints, weaves, embroideries, plain cotton-hemp weaves and velvets some of the stand-out designs include the dramatic Rivera in Plumera, a rich burnt orange fabric with intricately embroidered patterned feathers, and Rene, a statement geometric with a textured weave featuring chenille ikat chevrons running in horizontal multicolour stripes.
Then there’s also Sunstone in Gold. Perfect for curtains and upholstery, the satin weave features Art Deco-inspired fan-shaped motif.
And our two favourites: Rivera in Charcoal, a rich, boldly abstract floral print reminiscent of a watercolour painting, and the exquisite Skylon velvet in Teal with its contemporary abstract design.
Jane Churchill and Colefax and Fowler fabrics and wallcoverings are locally available at Mavromac.
