Vietnam’s Textile Future Takes Center Stage at VIATT 2026

Fringe11.webp.1920As Vietnam accelerates its vision to become a globally competitive, sustainable textile powerhouse, the Vietnam International Trade Fair for Apparel, Textiles and Textile Technologies (VIATT) is emerging as a defining platform for the industry’s next chapter. Returning to the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center from 26–28 February 2026, the fair reflects both the confidence and ambition of a sector that continues to outperform on the global stage.

Vietnam’s textile and garment exports surpassed USD 17.58 billion in the first five months of 2025, marking a 9% year-on-year increase. Backed by a government strategy focused on circularity, quality, and brand development, the industry is evolving beyond volume manufacturing toward higher-value, internationally competitive production. VIATT’s trajectory mirrors this shift: following steady growth in exhibitors and visitors, the fair will expand its show floor by 20% in 2026, reinforcing its role as a gateway to Vietnam and the wider ASEAN market.

A global meeting point for premium textiles

The 2026 edition will welcome an impressive roster of international exhibitors across apparel fabrics, home textiles, and technical innovations. Italy’s textile heritage will be represented by names such as Thomas Mason by Albini 1876 and Drago SpA, while Japanese excellence returns with exhibitors including Murata Machinery, Yagi & Co, and Tamurakoma & Co. Swiss, British, and international suppliers such as Alumo AG, Thomas Clifford Ltd, and IDOLE Trading further underline the fair’s premium positioning.

Beyond fashion, the growing demand for home and contract textiles—driven by urbanisation and tourism—will be showcased through companies like CoolisT Life Technology, Hangzhou Huafang Fabric, and Hangzhou Suntek Textile, while the technical textiles and technologies segment highlights the industry’s innovation edge. From advanced textile chemicals to AI-powered inspection systems, including the return of AiDLab’s WiseEye technology, VIATT underscores Vietnam’s readiness to adopt next-generation solutions.

Designing a sustainable future

Sustainability remains central to both national policy and the fair’s identity. VIATT 2026 will again feature the Econogy Hub and Econogy Talks, spotlighting eco-focused materials, traceable supply chains, and circular design thinking. Exhibitors such as Covation Biomaterials, with its plant-based Sorona polymer, and Stylem Takisada-Osaka, recognised for its verified sustainable practices, exemplify the direction in which the industry is heading.

At the intersection of craftsmanship, technology, and responsible innovation, VIATT 2026 offers a compelling snapshot of Vietnam’s textile future—one that is increasingly refined, sustainable, and globally influential.
