VIATT 2026 Launches First-Ever Trend Forum Showcasing Spring/Summer 2027 Artisanship
The Vietnam International Trade Fair for Apparel, Textiles and Textile Technologies (VIATT) steps confidently into a new chapter this year, with the launch of its first-ever Trend Forum, which offers a holistic vision for Spring/Summer 2027 that reflects how people live, work, and create today. Taking place from 26 to 28 February 2026 at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center, the forum signals a shift away from siloed trend forecasting towards a more integrated, lifestyle-led approach.
Curated by NellyRodi™ Agency in collaboration with MUSEATIVE, the Trend Forum introduces a unifying theme: ARTISANSHIP. Rather than separating fashion, home textiles, and technical innovation, the Forum positions trends as a shared design language that flows seamlessly across apparel, interiors, and emerging textile technologies. It is an approach rooted in human behaviour, where materials, aesthetics, and function intersect across everyday life.
Four lifestyle narratives bring ARTISANSHIP to life.
TO WORK reframes urban living through calm, fluid tailoring and restorative interiors, favouring soft neutrals, tactile, sustainable fabrics, and organic forms. TO RELAX captures the lightness of leisure with airy linens, sun-washed pastels, and imperfect, romantic textures that translate effortlessly from fashion to home. In contrast, TO HAVE FUN embraces drama and ornamentation, layering jewel tones, luxurious jacquards, and embellished surfaces across statement interiors, eveningwear, and expressive textile technologies. The most personal of the themes, TO CREATE, celebrates individuality and cultural storytelling, blending earthy pigments with bold colour, natural fibres, recycled materials, and digitally integrated textiles.
As Mr Kai Chow, Lead Curator of the VIATT Trend Forum, explains, the intent is to demonstrate how a single mindset can influence what we wear, how we live, and how we interact with technology, creating one coherent narrative across sectors. This philosophy is echoed by Ms Wilmet Shea of Messe Frankfurt (HK) Ltd, who notes that the Forum builds on decades of trend forecasting expertise to empower the entire textile value chain with deeper, more relevant insight.
Beyond the exhibition itself, the Trend Forum is supported by seminars, guided tours, and fringe programming, reinforcing VIATT’s role as a future-facing platform where trends are not just observed, but understood, contextualised, and applied.
