Shows Not To Miss At Milan Design Week

Milan Design Week is in full swing and we’re so thrilled to see that it is quickly becoming an event full of amazing attractions. Here we share a few not-to-be-missed installations happening in Milan this week from 6 to 12 June 2022.

VITA LENTA at PIAZZA CITTÀ DI LOMBARDIA

This installation is the ideal refuge from the bustle of Design Week in general. A comfortable and unique installation, Via Lena (Slow Life) presents the collective Finemateria that will create a scenography tribute to the slowness of everyday life. This is more than just an installation but a sensory experience of sorts. It takes inspiration from Japan and provides an experience of emotions through various materials and works. The project comes to life in cooperation with 16 international designers and is commissioned by Isola Design Group with the collaboration of Regione Lombardia.

GERMOGLI at PALAZZO DURINI CAPRONI

Germogli is a remarkable installation that will make the courtyard spaces of Palazzo Durini Caproni shine and the visitors rethink the circle of life. This installation by the Natuzzi group with the signature of the artist and designer Marcantonio– envokes the concept of Second Life and aims to energize the connection between people, nature, and the environment.

THE ART OF DREAMS at PALAZZO CLERICI

Porsche makes its debut at Milan Design Week with a series of immersive interventions. For this event, the brand partners with floral artist Ruby Barber of Studio Mary Lennox. The Art of Dreams is a showcase of sculptural craftworks combined with technology. Therefore, the exhibition also presents choreographed performances, turning this event into an absolute dream.

HYPERNOVA at SUPERSTUDIO PIÙ

This installation by designer Sara Ricciardi for gloTM is the big star of the lounge area of Superstudio and will provide an immersive experience with nature and technology. With this installation, the idea is to consider a place where these two areas can coexist. This event belongs to Tortona Design Week 2022.

FLOATING FOREST at DARSENA

Floating Forest by Levis is an incredible intervention in the heart of Milan. Stefano Boeri Interiors designed this multi-sensory forest. The installation was thus created as an ecosystem with 610 plants and 30 different species. The facility aims to be a legacy for the city. After the event, the trees and bushes will therefore be donated for regeneration at Vettabbia Park.

TOILET PAPER STREET at VIA GIUSEPPE BALZARETTI

Redbull and ORGANICS will convert an entire street into a realistic dream that will be a legacy of Milan Design Week 2022 to the city. The Via Giuseppe Balzaretti in the Città Studio area will therefore be transformed into a permanent installation with an aesthetic project by the artist Maurizio Cattelan and photographer Pierpaolo Ferrari. The famous due is also responsible for the iconic TOILETPAPER magazine based on this street. With this work, the well-known magazine will come to life and impact everyone with a project evoking a clear pop identity. Besides this transformation, a street party will also happen in the location on specific dates.

WE.TRULY DESIGN CREW at OPIFICIO 31

This immersive exhibition will open the dialogue between art, design, and sustainability— by the renowned collective group We.Truly Design Crew. It takes place in collaboration with IQOS. The show was subsequently inspired by the different stories and views of the over 2 million people that quit smoking in Italy. The event integrates with the program of Tortona Rocks.
