Future Talks returns to the Decorex stage
This year, visitors to South Africa’s hottest decor event can look forward to a new round of creative discussions as Future Talks returns to the Decorex stage.
Running in Cape Town from 6 to 9 June and Johannesburg from 1 to 4 August, Future Talks will cover the most pressing topics facing the design industry in a series of insightful and stimulating talks with a host of influential speakers.
An unparalleled forum for inspiration and innovation within the design industry, the talks will be led by multi-disciplinary visionary, storyteller and director, Bathandwa Ngwendu, who will assume the role of MC for the second consecutive year.
Hailing from Khayelitsha and nurtured in Kraaifontein, Cape Town, Ngwendu’s rich cultural background infuses his work, making him a respected voice in contemporary discourse. As the host of the Maak ‘n Plan podcast, Ngwendu has captivated audiences with content that resonates deeply, incubates ideas and provides insightful commentary on arts and culture in South Africa.

Not-to-miss Future Talks speakers include interior designer Megan Hesse, Driaan Claasen, an authority on the intersection of technology and design, and Anja Joubert, who will unveil groundbreaking research on future materials shaping design landscapes.
