Don’t miss the Cape Homemakers Expo this weekend!
This weekend, avid home decorators will join the industry’s elite at the 2017 Cape Homemakers Expo that will celebrate this year’s theme ‘A Tribute to Your Home’. Here you can expect an impressive range of products and professional services under one roof from 31 August to 3 September at the CTICC.
If you’re looking for some home inspiration, the expo is the place to be this weekend. Packed with inspirational ideas and features, including highlights such as the tuis | home theatre, live by DESIGN, ARTISAN square, take it OUTSIDE, the MARKET, for the love of CONCRETE Design Competition and 12 Izitulo Design Challenge, the Expo will offer never-to-be-repeated competitions, deals and specials – the perfect opportunity to explore, consider and purchase all the things you need for your home and garden projects. Pick up insider knowledge on practical DIY, easy home makeovers and great culinary tips straight from the professionals at the Home | Tuis theatre – your practical guide to beautiful living.
You can also find on trend interiors, bespoke décor and fabrics, as well as beautiful soft furnishings for the home at this year’s live by DESIGN, while ARTISAN square will offer an eclectic mix of distinctive crafts and designs, from handmade homeware, ceramics and leather goods to local design, art and custom jewellery.
A brand-new addition to the Expo will be the for the love of CONCRETE Design Competition. Anyone, from architects to designers, artists to the general public, were invited to enter. The top 30 designs, brought to life by World of Decorative Concrete (WODC), will be on display and visitors are invited to bid on their favourites. All funds raised will be donated to DARG (Domestic Animal Rescue Group).
The 12 Izitulo Design Challenge, presented by Leon at CCXIX and St Leger & Viney, will showcase some of the finalists. Student and emerging designers were invited to come up with an original chair design… anything from easy chairs and barstools to dining and occasional seating. Tickets are available at the door or from Quicket . Adults pay R80, pensioners R70 and kids under 12 enter free. The Expo will be open Thursday to Saturday from 10am to 8pm, and on Sunday from 10am to 6pm.
