Local is lekker at SARCDA International 2018
SARCDA International 2018 will add a definite South African flair to its offering this year, with a number of local crafters participating in the exhibition, which takes place at the Gallagher Convention Centre in Midrand, Johannesburg from 8 to 11 March 2018.
In partnership with the Department of Small Business Development, SARCDA is also playing an important role in empowering small businesses. The department is bringing 36 talented crafters to SARCDA International. The Small Enterprise Development Agency (Seda), whose mission it is to develop, support and promote small enterprises in South Africa, will also be at the exhibition. Two other exhibitors that visitors should look out for are Jambo, wholesaler of quality gifting, lifestyle, décor and curio products, including traditional and contemporary designs from Africa and the East; and Bali Trading, which stocks one of the largest imported and locally manufactured home decor and gift ranges in SA. “But these are just a few of our stars…there are too many to mention here. However, what I can promise buyers is that they will step into an Aladdin’s Cave of gift, toy and décor items when they visit SARCDA International 2018,” says Teresia Stander, MD of SARCDA Exhibitions. In 2018 SARCDA celebrates its 50th anniversary, marking half a century of organising South Africa’s only strictly trade gift, toy and décor exhibitions. To protect its VIP Buyers, the company has a stringent verification process in place to keep members of the public out of its exhibitions. “Our verification process is strict but not cumbersome, the aim is to weed out non-genuine trade buyers, not to make it difficult for bona fide trade buyers to register as VIP SARCDA trade buyers,” says Stander. Trade buyers can register on-line at www.sarcda.co.za – once verification is complete the buyer will be added to the SARCDA database and will automatically receive invitations to all future SARCDA exhibitions. SARCDA International is one of two annual exhibitions organized by SARCDA Exhibitions; the other is SARCDA Christmas, which takes place at Gallagher Convention Centre from 23 – 26 August 2018.
