Homemakers Expo: The Raw Workshop Inspires Creative Expression
Get your creative juices flowing at this year’s Homemakers Expo 2019 and The Raw Workshop, on from 28th February to 3rd March at the Ticketpro Dome in Johanneburg.
Celebrating raw comfort, the Raw Workshop is set to wow visitors to Homemakers this year with World of Decorative Concrete (WODC) ready to inspire with their brilliant concrete creations. Proving that concrete can be used for much more than dull, grey structures, WODC invites you to get your hands dirty in The Raw Workshop.
The Raw Workshop gives you the space to be creative, do some DIY experimenting, get advice and buy the best products to take home to use as a DIY art medium.
“Everybody has a bit of creativity and they can design their own art and personalise it,” says Johan Coetzee.
What makes the Raw Workshop at the upcoming Johannesburg HOMEMAKERS Expo so special is the combination of different natural elements. Experts who work with concrete, wood, leather, glass and metal will all be featured in the Raw Workshop. This gives you the chance to physically try out your ideas and be inspired by the expert craftsman who know and love their products.
Get Involved
You can be part of the evolution by entering the “For the love of concrete” competition. Sponsored by WODC, this year Johan Coetzee hopes to see unique, functional design items that really show off WODC’s products.
In previous years, the competition has seen some amazing design and art pieces. Johan Coetzee says his most memorable piece was a lady made out of concrete entered into the art competition at Cape Town HOMEMAKERS Expo last year.
Whether you’re looking for inspiration, a home lifestyle newbie, a DIY pro or a creative genius, don’t miss the chance to get your hands dirty at the Johannesburg HOMEMAKERS Expo Raw Workshop.
