Studio Gae: Transforming A Modern Contemporary Airbnb

Studio Gae Design is excited to share a successful project decorating a newly acquired 2-bedroom apartment. Tasked with creating a modern contemporary design with hues of blue and green, the team transformed the space into a stunning oasis perfect for discerning Airbnb travellers.

The Vision

The goal was to craft a design that provided comfort and sophistication while appealing to a broad range of guests. Modern contemporary style, known for clean lines and sleek finishes, was the perfect choice for this high-traffic space.

As the hub of the apartment, the living room needed to be inviting yet chic. The team chose a plush, deep blue velvet sofa with a matching low-profile coffee table. Accents of teal and emerald were introduced through throw pillows and a beautiful area rug. The walls were adorned with minimalist artwork featuring geometric patterns in subtle blues and greens, creating a cohesive and tranquil environment.

The open-plan kitchen and dining area boasted modern cabinetry with glossy white finishes and stainless-steel appliances. Green accents were introduced through stylish kitchen accessories and bar stools upholstered in sage green, creating a vibrant yet elegant look. The dining table, crafted from glass and wrought iron, was paired with contemporary chairs that echoed the apartment’s colour scheme, adding an element of harmony.

Both bedrooms were designed with relaxation in mind. The master bedroom featured a stunning blue upholstered headboard, paired with crisp grey bedding and navy throw blankets for a touch of luxury. Mirrored nightstands added a hint of glamor while opening up the space. The guest bedroom followed a similar theme, with a natural backdrop of nudes blended with shades of turquoise and seafoam green enhancing the fresh, airy feel.

The bathrooms were not overlooked. Here, blue and green mosaic tiles were incorporated to create modern, spa-like retreats. Simple, elegant fixtures and plenty of storage ensured functionality without compromising on style.
