Plascon House Tour: Keeping Things Neutral In A Stylish Home
Soft and serene with a modern twist, today’s neutral home oozes stylish elegance, from the ornate ceiling cornices to the bold choice of black and white contemporary spaces.
The colour palette in today’s modern abode is kept simple – grey, white and black are beautifully paired with warmer wooden tones and a few stylish details. New hardwood flooring sets a modern tone here and we love the combination of old-world charm present in the home’s architectural features, paired with contemporary furniture and bold features.
That black feature wall in the living room is divine – and we love the use of industrial lighting with naked bulbs in this modern space. Ample soft furnishings add to the comfort level of this space and creates a cosy and inviting living space.
The dining room takes on a more regal ambience with high ceilings and traditional crystal chandelier above a central table. Large entryways with double French doors lead from one space to the next – adding to the elegance of the home’s original architectural structure. The dining table and chairs, however, are modern with sleek lines and striking wooden finishes. The perfect balance between old and new; modern and classic!
A stunning little eating nook feels like a modern bistro in this home, complete with floor to ceiling subway tiles, industrial lighting and contemporary concrete and wood seating. Modern art and potted greens add to the urban style of this space and give it a modern, urban edginess that we simply adore. Definitely our favourite spot in this abode!
