Plascon House Tour: A Blush & Grey Scandi Reno
Simple. Stylish. Scandi. Three ‘S’ words that perfectly describe this trendy NorsuHome by design duo Nat Wheeler and Kristy Sadlier. A tired old 1920s Californian Bungalow was beautifully renovated by this powerhouse design team into the gorgeous retreat we are looking at today!
Right from the entrance, we are welcomed inside by the use of natural materials and a simple colour palette of grey, white and blush tones. Wood in various finishes adds charm to this home and styling is minimalist yet enticing with bold furniture choices, art and colourful accents that tie it all together in true style.
The designers envisioned a Nordic-inspired space and rightfully so chose a palette filled with pastels, pastels and more pastels plus some contrasting stronger hues to make it all pop. Layers of texture are added including luxe velvets, breezy linens, buttery leathers, natural timbers, patterned marbles, warm wools and cozy sheepskins. By adding a touch of bling, the living room and open plan dining room come to life with hints of metallic finishes and gorgeous art displayed in key spaces.
Things are kept simple and natural. Everything needed to come together cohesively to tell a story and create a welcoming feeling. In the dining space, a bench is built into the wall and a striking concrete base table completes the look of this gorgeous space.
The bedroom too is a haven of luxury and style. A mix of materials and textures add an aesthetic quality to this space. End-of-bed seating in a lush velvet texture is beautiful and selected art adds visual interest to this designer space.
Hints of grey, white, blush tones and brass make up the overall look of this home. Evident in the bathroom, we see how this colour palette adds instant appeal. Marble-styled tiles create a striking pattern as a backsplash behind a round pink basin with brass sanitaryware.
