Jacket Interiors: A Grey Home With Great Bones
Today’s stylish family home boasts a wonderfully fresh interior with a neutral palette in grey. Elegantly crafted by the team from Jacket Interiors, this home is inviting and bright, with a connection to the outdoors that simply can’t be beaten.
The client bought this home from a developer and it had great bones to start with. Jacket Interiors injected life into these bones, giving the entire interior a fresh, new lease on life. The team took it a bit further and added more grey tones and offset it with teal to create a graphic yet relaxed interior.
It’s all about indoor-outdoor living in this special home. Foldaway doors lead to a patio and pool area and allow for light to infiltrate into the house. High ceilings with ornate details are enhanced by darker walls and grey accents. A masterful display of artwork adorns the walls while arched doorways and large windows add to the architectural aesthetic of this classic abode.
In black and white with graphite accents, the home feels alive and elegant. The living room boasts a pleasant mix of materials including wood, fabric, glass and more. A traditional ceiling medallion is juxtaposed against a modern graphic glass pendant. And we love that combination of old and new into a soulful yet trendy space.
Dark metallic accents continue into the dining room, as does the dark grey walls. Things are kept simple and uncomplicated in this space. A beautiful, streamlined design that again welcomes natural light into the room.
With breathtaking views of the mountains, the master bedroom is a place of rest and tranquility. Wooden ceiling beams add contrast against the white walls. A large poster-bed adds a magical touch here while furnishings are kept neutral and calming.
The kitchen is a bright, quirky space, complete with a feature wall of ceramics. Sleek cabinetry pares well against white walls while a central grey kitchen island stands out as a focal piece in this space.
“We aim to recognise the unique character of each home or commercial space and develop it into a complimentary interior aesthetic, to elevate your space to the next level.” – Jacket Interiors.
