Tinzeltown’s Maximalist Masterpiece: The Bohoho in Camps Bay

They say Maximalism is making a comeback, but for Tinzeltown, it never left. “Go bold or go home” isn’t just a catchphrase; it’s a creative philosophy. This season, the brand is breaking limits, mixing more patterns and colours, and thinking even further beyond the boxes it was never in.

At The Bohoho in Camps Bay, Tinzeltown’s Cape Town showpiece, Maximalism finds a new rhythm, one that celebrates imagination without restraint. Named in homage to Hollywood’s golden age, the property radiates unapologetic glamour through a playful, expressive lens. “It’s wild, it’s fairytales, it’s colourful and luscious – unseen and unforeseeable,” says interior designer Daniela Gottschalk, the visionary behind the project.

As she puts it, “There is no reason that a room shall only have as much wallpaper as it has walls. Two rolls can share a space, and may we not forget the ceiling. Kitchens are not meant to be all black, white and grey, and an empty space is surely calling upon your imagination. There is no holding back when it comes to reinventing yourself and your aura.”

The Bohoho is more than a home; it’s a boutique resort and creative playground. Inspired by Palm Springs in the ’60s and reimagined for the digital age, it blends cerulean blue, lime green, metallic accents, and letterbox red into a vibrant symphony. Designed for creators, dreamers, and doers, it stands as proof that for Tinzeltown, more will always mean more.
