What inspired you to start Nisa Willockx Interiors?

The love for travel, architecture, and design has always been at the centre of my life. After designing and decorating most of my own homes, interior design became a natural and passionate path for me to pursue professionally.

How has travel influenced your approach to design?

Travel exposes me to different cultures, textures, materials, and ways of living. It constantly broadens my perspective and inspires the layered, timeless aesthetic I bring to every project.

What does “accessible luxury” mean to you?

To me, accessible luxury means creating elegant, refined spaces without compromising comfort or authenticity. It’s about curating timeless pieces that elevate a home while remaining inviting and livable.

How do you create harmony and balance in a space?

I use natural elements, calming colours, and rich textures to create environments that feel grounded and serene. It’s a careful blend of aesthetics and emotion.

What makes your curated homeware and furnishings unique?

Every piece in our collection is hand-selected by me and handmade by our team. I focus on quality, timelessness, and versatility—each item is designed to bring intentional beauty and warmth into your home.

Can you describe your process for turnkey projects?

We handle everything from concept to completion. Whether it’s a private residence or a hospitality project, we curate, manufacture, source, and help manage each detail to deliver a seamless and elegant result.

How do you ensure each design reflects your client while staying true to your style?

It’s all about collaboration and listening. I take time to understand how my clients live, then layer their personal style with my design language to create a unique, harmonious result.

What’s one timeless design element you always return to?

Texture. Whether it’s a raw linen, a soft boucle, or aged wood—it adds depth, soul, and quiet luxury to any space.

How do you want people to feel in a space you’ve designed?

Calm, grounded, and inspired. I want every space to feel like a sanctuary—both beautiful and deeply personal.

What’s your vision for Nisa Willockx Interiors in the future?

To continue creating meaningful, refined interiors around the world—while expanding our curated collections through an even bigger manufacturing department and by collaborating on exceptional projects that blend design with intention.

Let’s lighten the mood with a Quickfire Round…

Favourite design city in the world? Milan… of course!
Go-to colour palette? Always beige.
One item you believe every home should have? The most comfiest couch.
Natural element you can’t design without? Must be marble.

Most inspiring space you’ve ever visited?

Definitely has to be the Barcelona Pavilion by Mies van der Rohe. I was very intrigued by how something so minimal could feel so rich. The cross interplay of materials like marble, glass, chrome, and the seamless flow between the indoor and the outdoor. It was a reminder that great design isn’t about filling space but about creating presence. That experience continues to shape how I approach my work.
