Kim Williams Design Shines Bright at International Design & Architecture Awards in London
As we approach the end of a thrilling quarter, Kim Williams Design is riding the waves of success with international recognition that has propelled the studio to new heights.
“Fresh off a transformative trip abroad, I wanted to express gratitude for all the votes received for the prestigious UK-based International Design and Architecture Awards 2023 held in London last month,” shares Kim Williams, a top interior designer in Cape Town, and creative behaviour strategist.
The spotlight of the awards ceremony was on the studio’s remarkable Flower of Life project which is an exquisite interior design for a private residence in Cape Town. The project stands out not only for its visual appeal but also for its symbolic significance, with The Flower of Life representing creation and unity, and serving as the guiding concept for a client seeking a fresh start after a life-altering chapter.
“The Victorian-style plot and plan home underwent a breathtaking transformation under the expertise of our talented team and the result is a residence that mirrors the owner’s journey of reinvention. It really is a testament to our design team’s meticulous attention to detail and commitment to timeless elegance,” adds Kim.
Kim and her entire team have been delighted by the positive feedback they have since received. Being nominated in four categories at the International Design and Architecture Awards was a significant achievement itself, but the studio trumped that, securing deserving spots in three categories. They received a top-five position in the global bedroom category and featured in the top-ten in the Middle East and Africa category for the living room and interior design scheme.
A crowning achievement for Kim personally was being selected as one of ten designers to be featured in the most luxurious projects of the world annual IDA album- a recognition that adds a special touch to this already momentous occasion.
As the studio gears up for the upcoming Decorex show and exciting collaborations on the horizon, Kim Williams and her design team invites everyone to stay tuned for more news from her studio. “The journey continues, and the future looks even more promising with several new designers and collaborations on the horizon so do watch this space,” she concludes.
