Fosham Apartment, Kelly Hoppen
A testament to her unparalleled design prowess, Kelly Hoppen’s latest project in Foshan, seamlessly weaves together contemporary aesthetics, cultural influences and opulent textures to create a timeless allure.
Located in the heart of the Chinese city, the apartment project elegantly blends East and West, with Kelly’s signature neutral palette riffing off of the vibrancy of Foshan’s rich heritage.
“The stunning modern city design greets you with intricate marble detailing that wraps around the entrance and is inspired by Kelly’s own previous London Home, explains the studio of the design.
“Setting the tone for a sophisticated experience, the walls are adorned with sandy warm oak timbers that exude a sense of comfort and cosiness throughout the expansive space, contrasting against the marble material and texture to highlight the luxurious qualities of each. The main entrance door of the lobby and lift area has been crafted to set the tone for the refined aesthetic that awaits within, immediately greeting you with a sense of bespoke elegance. As you step further into the space, your eyes are drawn to the wallpaper cladding adorning the walls, and the marble detailing that provides a consistent theme throughout the space. Every pattern and texture has been thoughtfully selected to integrate with Kelly’s signature design style, creating a harmonious visual experience.”
Carefully orchestrated with Stephen Lung, the bespoke architecture and interiors are a testament to both Kelly and Stephen’s shared commitment to balance and functionality, with every element, from the placement of furniture to the flow of space.
Stepping further into the home, the entrance opens to elegant social spaces, including a living room, dining room and tea room. Marble floor runners in the corridor guide you through to the bedrooms, each with a sandy colour scheme throughout and core materials that link to the rest of the apartment. In total, there are four rooms, including a youthful boy’s room with a custom-designed black, white and taupe wall covering in a bold geometric pattern and a girl’s bedroom with plenty of playful pink elements.
A sophisticated celebration of luxury, each elegant space exudes a sense of comfort and cosiness, creating a grand canvass for family life.
