Form Interior: A Celebration of African Art
Form Interior Design simply loves residential design and focuses on a warm curated style that creates the ultimate comfort, laid-back sophistication as well as practical and enjoyable interiors.
This year, the team focused on forming their clients’ homes by incorporating an array of local artworks. Beautiful art was subsequently included in these residences in the form of furniture design, art and sculpture. This passionate team strives to deliver incredible design and service. Furthermore, they understand and appreciate that your home is the most important and personal space in your life.
To end off 2021, Form Interior would like to share some goodwill. Today they’re showcasing some of these local artists’ work from homes they’ve designed over the years.
Thokozani Madonsela
Firstly, they would like to introduce Thokozani Madonsela who is renowned for his iconic nude, faceless, often laughing figures. This has been a bold statement that he used to depict neutrality in human identity. Through these figures, one cannot tell what gender, economic status or age the people are. Everyone who looks at his work is able to take it as personally as they see fit. One of his pieces was added as a statement in a hallway that Form Interior put together and the homeowners could not have been happier that they included such an outstanding local artist in their newly designed home.
Frank van Reenen
Form Interior Design also loved using Frank van Reenen’ s sculptures as a centerpiece in a clients lounge. These sculptures bought so much attention and worked as the perfect finishing touch to a home they designed in Joburg. Frank’s inspiration of everyday life and his French Bulldog, who accompanies the artist to his studio and pretty much everywhere else, was what gave him the idea to create these pop culture sculptures.
Noush Projects
Lastly, an up and coming and favourite of Form Interior Design are Noush Projects. These are the perfect gifts to send out or receive over Christmas and are full of character. Furthermore, these sculptures were inspired by African Clonette Dolls and made by local artists situated in Durban.
Form Interior Design absolutely loves adding these trendy pieces to any room. One could say, they represent Form Interior Design in the form of art.
