The Private House Company: Sophisticated African Design at Steyn City
There is nothing quite as captivating as authentic African design and inspiration in interior design. The Private House Company know this trend well. Here they share one of their latest residential projects in the indigenous beauty of Steyn City. This home embraces the feeling of a high end bush lodge, transporting you to the rugged landscapes of the Masa Mara or Tanzania.
Acacia trees and sculptural architecture welcome you into a home full of sophisticated African design. Open plan living, muted tones and state-of-the-art finishes work together to create a seamless and sophisticated interior.
A mix of modern and organic materials marry a neutral, masculine colour palette. The effect is a muted and mature interior. Nothing about this home feels over the top. Simplicity mirrors the quiet of the bush outside, and there is a sense of being present in the spaces.
The rooms are connected to nature and we love the outdoor-indoor living that is intrinsic within the walls of this home. Each space is a celebration of the outdoor landscapes and light is welcomed into the space to make the most of every room.
The end result is a chic and elegant residence – an idyllic space for relaxation and luxury.
The Private House Company is an African based Interior Design firm run by Yvonne O’Brien. The Private House is known for creating rooms that are understated, personal and quietly refined.
