This light and bright family home is based in Oslo where owners took the time to revamp the abode into an airy, stylish and rustic chic residence.

The renovations took many months, but the overall sense is now one of an elegance and rustic charm. White was chosen as the prime colour in the space, and everything from the ceilings to the floors were painted in this bright shade. White has a tendancy to create the illusion of space, and this is true in this Norwegian home, where the space feels expansive and opens up into various spaces around the home. Colour is infused with the clever incorporation of modern furniture and decor accents, including a bold black occasional chair in the living with bright yellow scatters. Bold black furniture makes a statement in this Norwegian retreat. We love the oversized artwork on the walls which adds drama and intrigue to the living spaces around this home. For added comfort and style, a rustic hanging chair is suspended in one corner of the room. This space feels light and bright thanks to the white interiors and ample natural light that floods in through the room’s many windows. A stunning solid wood vanity brings depth and colour to the bathroom. Paired with a wooden framed mirror and leather storage boxes on open shelves, this room oozes a rustic chic ambiance which is very much on trend at the moment.
