New year, new look for your home!

New year’s resolutions usually start with “New year, new you”, but what about “New year, new look?” Your home is an extension of your personality. Stay on trend with the latest interior design looks this year.  Here are four of my personal favourite 2022 trends for your home.

White kitchen

The all white kitchen trend

An all white kitchen is classic and never goes out of style. To me, a sleek white kitchen with simple accessories is a classic. In addition, the white stove and smaller countertop appliances, mix in perfectly with the white tiling to give your kitchen  a truly modern feel. What I enjoy about white kitchen interiors is that they are effortlessly timeless, and the beauty lies in the fact that they can be either modern or classic, depending on your preferences.

Lantern lighting trend

Lanterns are one of the most adaptable house accessories because they can be used both inside and outside the home. Definitely a trend to incorporate in your home in 2022. With so many lantern styles to select from, you’ll be able to pick one that complements your home’s look, whether it’s modern, farmhouse, or classic.

Add your own lantern lighting trend by shopping on Nancy Designs Interior online shop for the large wicker lantern and glass cylinder. This modern lantern measures approx. 50cm in diameter by 45cm in height. Get it on our website for R1,368.50

Freestanding bathtub trend

In my opinion, free-standing bathtubs bring the spa experience to your own house. If you want an unexpected sculptural element, virtually a piece of art, as the centrepiece, a freestanding tub can be the way to go. They give your bathroom a sophisticated and spa-like ambiance that you will love every time you use it

Curvey furniture trend

The curved furniture trend appeals to me because it creates a relaxing environment with a sofa, chair, or table that features flowing lines and a comfortable-yet-chic design. These pieces are ideal for locations that can accommodate a group since they make it simple to sit, turn, and converse with others. The shape of these pieces has a conversational feel to them.

These are some of my favourite interior design trends for the new year. If you are looking for some help to get your home trendy this year, book an Online consultation with me, Nancy Hartman, interior designer.
