True Design: The Ultimate Luxury for Your Bottom
Seating is such a crucial part of the design process. Besides offering a functional place to sit, rest, work and enjoy life, seating is also critical for taking care of our bodies and providing comfort for your bottom, legs, neck, back… and the list goes on. We’ve rounded up some of the ultimate luxury seating solutions now available in South Africa through True Design.
Cassina presents the Caprice and Passion families of chairs and armchairs which has expanded with new bases and new finishes including a new 4-spoke base, which can be fitted with wheels or fixed feet; and a new tulip-shaped base. The finishes, applicable to either the shell or the base, include two glossy versions already in the catalogue: black and white, and new matt finishes in black, white and mud. The new finishes are also available for the models already in the catalogue. A glossy aluminium finish has also been introduced, only for the 4-spoke and tulip shaped bases. Featured Products: The Caprice stool designed by Philippe Starck for Cassina: Caprice and Passion seats have been enriched with the introduction of new stools with stem base and seat bodies that precisely mirror the appearance, respectively, of the Caprice seat and the Passion armchair. Both stools come with a stem base with two heights:
- Caprice, h 64 or 72 cm
- Passion, h 63 or 71 cm
- The seats rotate 360° and the bases have an automatic mechanism that always positions the seat in the same direction as the footrest. Shells and bases in the same finishes as the seats and armchairs; the footrest is chrome-plated for all finishes.Hola 367 designed by Hannes Wettstein: These striking chair with arms have an internal steel structure, padded with CFC-free polyurethane foam. Feet feature in black plastic material and covers come complete in removable fabric or soft leather. The catalogue configuration has been expanded with the introduction of a new version finished with a combination of two materials: external shell in leather and internal part in a range of selected fabrics.
