The 21st Edition of The Buyer’s Guide Sold out at Decorex Joburg 2017
Twenty one years of hard work and passion culminated in an outstanding, sell-out Decorex Joburg event this year.
The SA Decor & Design Buyer’s Guide is in its 21st year so this coming-of-age edition was a tribute to many years of inspiring readers and industry players alike with the latest and greatest decor and design suppliers, architects and interior specialists. The Guide is an accumulation of Marcia Margolius’s experiences in the décor and design industry.
As well as being at the forefront of local and international exhibitions, Marcia has used her industry knowledge and insight to create a new edition that is founded upon brand connectivity, contemporary product offerings and a forward-thinking approach to creating a successful digital presence. The SA Decor & Design stand was well received this year with a strong presence in Hall 5 among the best of SA’s exhibitors. The stand itself was painstakingly put together by Philip Tyers from Lion & Tyers and Hanel from Lalegno who made sure that the stand reflected the Buyer’s Guide’s contemporary yet elegant branding. Smooth wood flooring and wall cladding in a variety of styles from Lalegno Flooring reflected a return to nature and this seasons’ obsession with wood. All the furniture was supplied by Lion & Tyers. One of the stand’s outstanding pieces was the blue velvet couch with an intriguing copper base. Beautiful portrait-inspired cabinets completed the look with a functional yet sophisticated take on versatile furniture. Perfectly positioned flood lighting gave the stand a polished yet industrial look.
The front cover of the Buyer’s Guide was themed around the new Silo Hotel in Cape Town and inspired much of the SA Decor & Design stand. Photographer Micky Hoyle managed to capture the modern and relaxed-luxe feel of the space. Visitors flocked to the stand where our fantastic team greeted them with in-depth knowledge. We are pleased report that we sold out during the show. Wonderful weather and plenty of visitors made this year’s Decorex Joburg one of our best yet.
