The countdown to Christmas has begun and if you’re pretty much set with gift shopping, you better start thinking about that all-important mealtime prep and Christmas decor to make your day that much more special.

Here we share some of our favourite trends wrapped up in one beautifully simple and natural abode. Rustic finishes, soft, muted tones, wood, fir branches and candles set the perfect atmosphere that we can’t wait to recreate during our own Christmas celebrations this year. Keep things simple and elegant. Forget over the top tinsel and explosions of colour. What works in the below setting is a natural arrangement of plants, leaves and branches for a beautifully crisp and natural celebration of the season. Think rustic wood to set the tone. Bring this in with natural wood place settings. Sliced logs work wonderfully and can be used for everything from food platters to name placemarks or even a cake stand.
