Plascon House Tour: An Industrial Chic Mediterranean Home
In this designer residence along the Adriatic coast of Istria, Croatia, mixed media forms the basis of an engaging, industrial chic interior. Concrete runs rife throughout this home, but the overall ambiance is far from cold, dull or sterile. There is a warmth present here that we love. The interactive use of different textures, lighting and mixed materials makes it an inviting and spectacular space.
Concrete, wood and metal are found in every area of this home, from the beautiful grey walls and concrete flooring through to the exposed wooden ceiling beams in the bedroom and gorgeous metallic pendants suspended above the dining area. Those raw concrete floors are magical – adding to the rustic industrial charm of the place. Not to mention the elegant beauty of the feature wall in the kitchen. The intricate detail of each mosaic block is hard to miss, even though it is essentially an all-grey wall! Juxtaposed against the warmer wooden tones of the kitchen cabinets, and the kitchen becomes a feast of texture and design! Enticing us inward, the oversized dining table is beautifully decorated – the perfect entertainment space with gorgeous and modern ghost chairs! A winning combination with wood, perspex and metallic finishes that seem to blend together effortlessly. The stylish outdoor patio entertainment area is equally elegant in its industrial chic charm. The grey interior seems to extend to the outdoor spaces around the home where yet again, concrete is the real winner here! The soft patio drapes add a luxurious yet rustic atmosphere that seems to soften the edges of this entire space. Overall impression? We love the use of natural materials, mixed media and an appreciation of all that epitomises industrial chic living! Contact: Plascon Via
