The Hall Collection: The Elite Design Awards

The Hall Collection are the exclusive importers of Elite Beds in South Africa. To create more awareness around bedrooms, sleep and the importance of the bed you choose, in 2018 Elite has launched an exciting new competition called the Elite Design Awards.

The Elite Design Awards will give individuals the opportunity to put on their creative thinking caps and to design a Haute Couture bed using Elite’s expertise and knowledge to create a bed that is innovative and new.

Elite Beds of Switzerland are manufacturers of custom-made beds, pocket spring mattresses and box-spring bases. Since 1895 Elite have combined their expertise, craftsmanship and knowledge together with new innovations and modern technology to produce the finest quality natural and environmentally friendly beds. Their focus on quality and the link between good sleep and the impact it has on health and wellness, has made Elite leaders in the field of luxury sleep.

What can you win?

The 1st prize is 5000 Swiss Francs while the second place winner will receive 3000 Swiss Francs and 3rd, 2000 Swiss Francs.

The winning designs will be manufactured by Elite and will be presented at the prestigious Milan Design Week 2019 which takes place in April next year.

Teams of 2 are allowed and the competition is open to students of design and qualified designers or anyone interested in innovating in the world of bedding and sleep.

Registration closes on the 1 November 2018 and the entries must be submitted by the 10 December 2018.

The Hall Collection will be hosting a brunch on the 24th October 2018 to introduce all registered students and designers to Elite Beds and present the brief and guidelines for the Haute Couture design bed.
