The legendary Orient Express, known for redefining luxury travel with its opulent trains and hotels, is now setting sail. In a bold new venture, the brand has announced the debut of its first yacht, the Orient Express Corinthian, slated to grace the seas in the summer of 2026. This extraordinary vessel will cruise through the Adriatic, Mediterranean, and Caribbean, offering an unmatched blend of elegance and adventure.

The World’s Largest Sailing Yacht

Measuring an impressive 220 meters from bow to stern, the Orient Express Corinthian will claim the title of the world’s largest sailing yacht. Powered primarily by wind, its three towering 100-meter masts will unfurl a breathtaking 4,500 square meters of sails, propelling the yacht to speeds of up to 17 knots. For added efficiency and sustainability, a cutting-edge LNG-powered engine will provide backup propulsion.

Built by the renowned Chantiers de L’Atlantique shipyard in Nantes, France, the Corinthian is a masterpiece of engineering and design. The interiors, conceived by celebrated architect and artistic director Maxime d’Angeac, exude Grecian luxury with a modern twist. “Drawing inspiration from the golden age of luxury cruises, the Corinthian reinvents movement and comfort on the water,” says Sébastien Bazin, Group Chairman and CEO of Accor, the parent company of Orient Express.

A Floating Palace of Indulgence

The yacht’s 54 all-suite accommodations are nothing short of spectacular. Each suite is adorned with creamy tones, timber veneer wall panels, elegant Ionic columns, and Art Deco-inspired wardrobes. Bathrooms are finished with luxurious red-veined marble, while deeply-set bay windows provide breathtaking ocean views.

But the Corinthian is much more than a place to sleep. It’s a floating resort with five restaurants, eight bars, a cabaret, a cinema, a spa, and even a recording studio for those inspired by the open sea. Guests can also enjoy a nearly 17-meter lap pool, perfect for a refreshing dip under the sun.

Alongside its maritime debut, Orient Express is also preparing to unveil two luxurious hotels: one in Rome by the end of this year and another in Venice next year. Additionally, the highly anticipated La Dolce Vita Orient Express train is set to embark on journeys through Italy, adding yet another jewel to the brand’s crown.
