Plascon House Tour: Sophisticated Splendour
In the heart of Moscow’s capital, you will find this luxurious 3-level apartment where a stunning mix of contemporary and classic materials come together in true style!
Designers opted for an array of soft furnishings and rich textures in this home to bring a sense of warmth and sophistication to the abode – a real contrast from the cold Russian city just outside of its walls. The use of uncharacteristic materials such as wood and marble is striking here. Eastern decor influences are found throughout, where the use of a slightly ethnic pattern, repeated on a different scale on all the floors of this apartment, allows for a certain tribal-like air, in keeping with the contemporary and sophisticated setting that is apparent in this home. The kitchen, open to the living room, is presided over by a marble wall and the furniture finished in sleek white – adding to the sophisticated and clean environment of this space. The colour scheme is calming, mainly with sandy, grey and beige tones. The contrast comes from the choice of dark flooring, made of nut wood which works well to complement the lighter walls and furniture in softer tones. The main bedroom is separated from the bathroom by sliding doors that connect the spaces visually thanks to the wooden windows used as lattices. This allows for ample light and air to travel through the interior, without it feeling closed off from the different rooms. The entire house maintains a clean and simple design, without cornices or baseboards, and full of unusual and outstanding details. The bathroom itself is contemporary and striking, complete with marble surfaces, a mirror panel and sleek vanity. We love the patterns and play of light that brings depth to the bedroom through those stunning latticed doors that lead to a private bathroom retreat. The choice of furniture is modern yet understated – a perfectly balanced and neutral interior with edge! Contact: Plascon Via
