Plascon House Tour: Spanish Family Home
A light-filled Spanish retreat is the centre of our focus today. Here, sky blue shades meet ash wood finishes, bold black and yellow accents and a mix of textures and patterns. It is a wonderfully refreshing and inspired interior!
One of the objectives of the local designer was to maintain order and freshness and therefore, storage was an essential part of the layout of this stylish space. The result is a personal, intimate house with several defined areas for various functions where everyone maintains a connection and a harmony that is breathed throughout the whole house.
The choice of neutral finishes and natural wood is ideal here. Solid wood furniture is used in the lounge, creating a balanced and spacious area, since the main aim of this room was to be a point of play for the children.
The kitchen is open to the living room allowing the continuous visibility of the space where the different areas are observed: on the one hand, we find the reading corner that is defined by two armchairs and a bold carpet that makes a statement. On the other side, an area more focused on leisure and watching TV is created, where there is a sofa and poufs that also act as auxiliary tables.
Stylish kid-friendly spaces fill this magnificent home and we love the inclusion of a study nook in the children’s bedroom. The use of patterned wallpaper adds a sense of nostalgia here and a simple storage bed base doubles as a comfy daybed by day and a child’s place of rest at night.
The use of ash wooden tones, glazed mirrors and beautiful wallpaper in the bathroom lends the space a contemporary yet feminine touch. We love the greenery theme that transpires from the wallpaper and a modern black vanity which is cool, contemporary and adds the perfect contrast to the softer features in this space!
