Plascon House Tour: Scandi Oasis In the City
Today’s home is beautifully minimalist and Scandinavian in design. From its muted tones to the use of natural wood, soft textiles and bright open space. Overlooking a little garden, this home provides an idyllic oasis in the city!
Seamless glass, artwork, modern lighting and a pared-down colour palette work together in this modern duplex home to enhance the Scandi mood created here.
Sliding foldable doors open up completely to extend the living space outdoors into a little garden and deck area. It’s always a wonderful little benefit to be able to maximise your outdoor living while dwelling in an urban setting. The greenery adds a welcome freshness to the space and we love that there is a natural flow created between indoor and outdoor living in this area.
The kitchen is simple and uncomplicated with white cabinets and seamless doors with no hardware for a streamlined and modern look. A round centre table is ideal for dining here, paired with wooden seating to add to the Nordic shades used in this abode. Modern appliances and striking sanitaryware add a sophisticated touch.
It is important to maximise every nook and cranny in a small home such as this nifty duplex apartment. Under the stairs, a side table with decor adds to the sophisticated Scandi feel of this home. Instead of this being a dead zone, designers have incorporated under-stair functionality to elevate the look of this space.
In the bedroom, things are also kept minimalist and clutter-free. Pops of vibrant colour shine through, in the form of art on the walls and a beautiful black chair that also serves as bedside storage. White streamlined built-in cupboards provide ample storage in this space, and the white walls make this room feel bigger and brighter, even though it is essentially a very small room.
