Plascon House Tour: Scandi Cool Family Home
Wide open spaces, light filled rooms and a beautiful neutral palette define this striking family home in South London. It certainly is what Scandi dreams are made of!
There is a calming presence in this home. It echoes through the walls – painted in light shades of white and beige which so effortlessly bounces light around the various rooms.
A cosy living room creates a welcoming space. We love the use of wall panelling and Georgian style low windows which adds to the overall look of serenity. A simple glass domed pendant adds a touch of elegance too while a cream upholstered sofa looks like an inviting space to unwind.
The dining room is equally soothing in a sea of white – from the exposed rafters overhead to the walls and choice of light wooden flooring. A mix of wooden seating adds a laid-back Scandi feel to this space while simple artwork on the walls and a few metallic light sconces complete the look.
The hallway feels large and bright. Parisian blue limestone flooring brings a sophisticated edge to this space and we love the curved walls and palette of whites which give this space a modernist twist. Hints of gold add a regal quality, evident in the round mirror and on the front door. We love this space. It is cool, calm and oh so Scandi.
The kitchen is blissful and has a modern farmhouse vibe to it. Complete with metallic pendants and industrial style bar stools, this space is packed with interest and soul. Marble worktops and a butler’s sink are teamed with classic metro tiles and handsome cabinets.
The bedrooms are simple and serene. The master bedroom is kept sleek with a simple white backdrop that creates a peaceful ambience. An upholstered headboard and carpeting gives its a softer feel – far from a stark white or sterile space. Exposed rafters adds to that cabin chic ambience.
