Plascon House Tour: Parisian Loft Living
Rustic raw wooden beams, high ceilings, solid wood floors, antiques, flea market objects and a charming artistic flair come together to create this eclectic Parisian apartment. It is home to a photographer and is based in the beautiful surrounds of Le Marais.
In homely textiles and with a beautiful neutral and rustic palette of wooden tones, off-white and cream, this stylish Parisian apartment is a feast for the eyes. We love the monochrome gallery wall featured behind a lofty and luxurious white sofa in the living room. A glass chandelier adds shimmer and elegance to this immaculate space and the wooden tones from the ceiling and floor offers richness and depth to this design scheme. Far from conventional, the space comes alive in muted tones and a gorgeous mix of old-world pieces.
A loft-style bed features above a rustic built-in bookcase that acts as a library in this space. The open plan layout is ideal here and the kitchen and living spaces merge together in true loft-style elegance. A vintage coffee table offers a raw elegance to this space – unrefined yet appealing.
Charming cupboards appear as if they have come from another era – distressed wood with glass inserts are bold and offer depth and tone to this space. Things are kept minimal here with simple wooden furniture – the fissures and cracks of the wood are celebrated in true vintage style.
Open shelving in the kitchen adds to the simplicity of this space. Things are kept neutral in white and wood – for a designer look that is both elegant and on trend. Simple light pendants offer much-needed task lighting in this space.
The monochrome palette extends to the bedroom where beautifully framed prints add dimension to this space. Natural linens and textures are idyllic here – bringing a calmness and serenity to this intimate space. An old fireplace mantel adds style as a vintage headboard, bringing a sense of richness and ornate detailing to this fascinating bedroom.
The bathroom too feels serene in neutral tones and earthy finishes, including minimalistic decor and finishes. A beautiful stone sink adds to the rustic appeal of this room. The white walls form the backdrop for this calming space.
