Plascon House Tour: A Masculine Design

Streamlined in black and white, this modern apartment boasts a masculine design that is very much on trend. We love the simplicity of the colour scheme and the flow of the layout with built-in screens that lead us through this stylish abode.

The living room is beautifully contemporary without losing comfort. An L-shaped sofa system adds to the luxury of this space, decked out in scatters to bring warmth and depth to this otherwise neutral room. We love the dark glass screens with downlighters that frame the ceiling – adding visual appeal and interest to this modern space. A simple gallery wall of art in complementary shades completes this room.

Dark timber adds to the overall masculine feel of the open plan living areas and dining space. Here a customised shelving unit adds essential storage, texture and visual appeal, with black and white modern accessories. The dark wooden panels are a wonderful textural component to this space and bring depth and tone to this room, along with a wooden screen that divides the room without cutting out the light that enters from the lounge.

The bathroom with oversized shower is sleek and modern. Black aluminium framed shower with a sleek rainshower head is idyllic in this space. Gorgeous geometric flooring ties into the colour scheme present throughout this home and we love the vibrancy it brings to the bathroom. A simple vase in metal stand adds another visual element to this room and we love the interest created by the intricate design of this stand.

Accessories are key to pulling a look together. To break the black and white combination and to enrich the space with a dose of colour, potted greens and shades of beige and timber are introduced in the accessories of this home. Soft cream drapes bring a luxurious feel to this space while customised timber cabinets welcome the richness of wooden tones into this room. Plants complete the look with a burst of freshness.
