Plascon House Tour: A Charming Family Home

Today we enter a family home filled with country charm. From the onset, it’s clear that this bright residence packs a punch with added charm and character – a welcoming space that oozes positive energy.

Curved entryways into the living space set the tone here. Light beige interior walls add a richness to the space and we love the mix of vintage furniture with natural linens and bright hues. The distressed panelled mirror above the mantel is a feature in this space. The fireplace itself is exquisite but the choice of furniture throughout is the ideal fit for this charming family home.

Gorgeous glass doors open up to the exterior gardens. The dining room is set against the backdrop of this striking outdoor garden – a wonderful spot to enjoy a family meal and revel in the beauty of nature just beyond the home’s walls. A fresh country-style is evident in this room, with cool blue floral linens, traditional French-inspired dining chairs and a variety of florals and greenery on display in pots.

Terracotta tiled floors add to the country style charm of this home. We also love the choice of wooden internal ceiling beams that add a rich timber tone to this space. Together with double doors, painted in distressed blue, an authentic vintage ambiance is created here.

The bedroom too is a celebration of light and space. The country-style windows open up to allow maximum lighting in this space. Against a white backdrop, old barn doors become a statement artwork, functioning as a stylish headboard behind the master bed. Hints of beige, mustard and blue tie the entire scheme together. We also love the inclusion of an end-of-bed seating solution for additional linens etc. Built-in shelving further adds to the storage space of this room and we love the innovative use open shelves for an open display of decor with plants, books and a mirror on show here.
