Plascon House Tour: Beachcomb Interior
Situated on the beautiful Waiheke Island off the coast of Auckland, New Zealand, today’s beach cottage boasts a creative mix of colours used on walls and on furniture which adds interest to the overall look. The interior is filled with beachcombing treasures as styled by Anna Church and featured here.
We love the rustic nature of the treasures in this home, with vintage furniture and quirky artwork adorning the many rooms. Sandy tones with pops of sea blue, straw hats, wooden oars, and tropical cushions add to the seaside theme. Inspired by a fish and chips menu, the oversized signage on the dresser below is striking and whimsical – a wonderful addition to a beachside home. Beautifully styled with a casual, seaside feel, each space is put together with beautiful collections of meaningful items, such as an array of straw hats and bags casually hanging on an old, vintage wooden hook. The bedroom has a fresh atmosphere brought to life with greenery and a beautiful leafy print that dominates the bed and scatters. A stunning artwork above the bed further adds colour and vibrancy to the space while a rustic yet unconventional light fitting adds charm here.
