Plascon House Tour: An Old Home Becomes A Colourful Delight
They say there is nothing a little colour can’t fix. Today’s home in Bristol is testament to how a little glamour and colour can turn an old home into a fresh new retreat. From patterned walls and floors to bright statement furniture, floral wallpaper and more. This home comes to life in a bold display of bright tones.
From the entryway to the living spaces, we see bold colour choices redefine the rooms of this once stern Georgian abode.
Bright floral wallpaper has been cleverly installed in the living room, adding interest and style in this space. Together with a few quirky furniture pieces, the room becomes an eclectic mix of things – a place where the present, future and past mingle. And how cute are those matte black rabbit lampshades for a playful touch!
High ceilings are complemented with colourful drapes and quirky light fittings. In the kitchen, it is hard to miss those bold playful copper pendants which pop against a white ceiling. The kitchen cabinetry was all custom-built for this home and we love the pops of colour that give it a distinct look. Deep purple sets the tone here – in the cabinets, curtains and those elegant dining chairs.
Pops of colour brighten up the dining room. Again, a choice of bright curtains, this time in a colourful floral print, adds to the light, bright and welcoming interior. We love the large curved windows, complemented by a window seat. Plush blue and grey dining seats add a wonderful contrast along with a beautiful tactile element to this space.
The bedroom has a touch of whimsy with bright blue tones that seem to transport you to another time and place. A large room, the master bedroom feels cosy thanks to the busy wallpaper and pops of colour. We love the bold crystal chandelier for a glamourous touch here! A gorgeous buttoned sofa adds to the aesthetic – in a bold Nabucco Turquoise tone to complement the rest of the room.
